Nordex Blade Spain Outsources Wind Blade Kitting to RewAir

The European rotor blade production facility of the Nordex Group in Lumbier, Navarre, northern Spain (part of Acciona Windpower, acquired in 2016) switched from in-house blade material kitting to outsourcing its kitting needs to RewAir in 2022. The decision was taken after completing an in-depth business case analysis, risk assessment and evaluation of the benefits of using RewAir’s proven 100% compliance, right first-time kitting production and delivery service.

The comprehensive supplier package provided by RewAir includes using more sustainable, reusable, folding pallet boxes, as used by automotive suppliers to reduce costs and CO2 footprint. Custom designed reusable transportation frames are also used, which reduce transport costs and enable accurate glass fabric placement more quickly. Onsite engineering services support is also provided by RewAir Engineering.
